Yamaha ‘In Tune’ With Dealers at 2012 NAMM Show

NAMM is an important venue to meet with dealers and customers, who provide valuable feedback that we use to improve our services, instruments and sound reinforcement equipment.

Yamaha showcases new products, technology and services at the 2012 NAMM show, the largest musical industry trade convention in the United States. Yamaha’s main display fills the spacious Marquis Ballroom at the Anaheim Marriott Hotel, adjacent to the Anaheim Convention Center, from January 19 to 22, 2012.

In addition, Yamaha is streaming live, high-definition video from the booth throughout the show at http://www.yamaha.com/namm. This year, Yamaha provides product spotlight interviews and image galleries on-demand, along with an interactive three-dimensional booth panorama that is controllable by viewers over the Internet in real time via desktop and laptop computers, as well as mobile phones and tablets.

Yamaha Pro Audio enters new product categories with the DXR and DXS powered speaker family and two mid-size MGP mixers. The powerful, but economically priced DXR/DXS line is showcased with a multimedia presentation in a specially designed demonstration room.

Yamaha Guitars also displays its groundbreaking THR10 and THR5 guitar amplifiers. The Music Production area showcases the computer-compatible 01V96i mixing console. Celebrating its 45th anniversary, Yamaha Drums rolls out the sturdy, yet lightweight Hex Rack II drum and cymbal mounting system.

The Keyboard product area features demonstrations of Yamaha’s remarkable Remote Live technology, where a pianist plays selections on a Disklavier located off-site while another Disklavier at the booth in Anaheim reproduces the performance in real time. In addition, Yamaha debuts the EZ-220, NU1 hybrid piano and the Arius YDP-C71PE digital piano. Yamaha will also show off several innovative iPad and iPhone apps for keyboard players, including Notestar, which provides sheet music and backing audio that creates a compelling learning environment.

Yamaha’s Band & Orchestral division highlights the new Advantage Intermediate products, as well as the new ACP Acoustic Conditioning Panels.

Steinberg software’s booth, located on the main floor of the convention center, will exhibit two major product lines, including the CMC Series controllers for Cubase and the UR Series interfaces.
