  •     Incorporating moderate exercise in everyday living
  •     Fitness that can be done at home
  •     Enhancing mood through physical activity
  •     Why staying active can often reduce healthcare costs

UW School of Nursing Research Professor, Dr. Rebecca Logsdon discusses normal changes that occur in memory and thinking as we age in her “Maintain Your Brain” lecture. She reviews scientific research on factors associated with brain health and provides practical guidelines to incorporate brain-healthy behavior every day including:

  •     The challenge of learning new things
  •     The power of planning and pleasure of anticipation
  •     Eating the right foods to spice up brain function
  •     Secrets to good humor and its connection to memory
