Passenger, the leading provider of innovation and insights communities, announces Hal Wendel as Vice President Sales & Business Development. Wendel will oversee Passenger’s sales and business development teams, and work with Passenger’s world-class roster of clients as well as potential clients on providing social brand communities and innovation tools. Wendel will be working out of Passenger’s Los Angeles office.

Bahram Nour-Omid, Passenger’s CEO, states, “Hal is a fantastic addition to the Passenger team. His experience with growing software companies as well as his track record in establishing partnership opportunities and building public online communities is going to greatly contribute to Passenger’s growth. Hal’s experience abroad will also help the company take advantage of growth in Asia and Europe.”

Wendel has managed global teams for Mosaix and Nortel and he also helped build high profile enterprise software start-ups such as Oblix (later sold to Oracle). He established a global OEM partnership with Cisco which helped drive a re-listing on the Nasdaq exchange. He spent several years in Europe managing sales channels for a leading software company and supervised worldwide channels for network products at HP. Hal received an economics degree from the University of Washington and a Sloan Fellowship/MBA from the London Business School.
