In January of this year, Ingram Content Group released the next generation of ipage, Ingram’s search and order platform. Ipage is now more customer driven and this updated version allows users to individually customize their ipage relationship. Customers now have even better tools that assist in prioritizing the critical information they require to search, order and deliver more content to more consumers and patrons.

The January release is the first step in a comprehensive schedule of updates and functionality improvements that will run through May of this year.

The new ipage focuses on personalization and intuitive functionality. Customizable widgets allow users to design their own homepage with the tools they use most. Customers can easily track bestsellers, access online catalogs, view custom lists, and bookmark favorite destinations in and outside of ipage.

Throughout the redesign process Ingram has relied on a select group of customers to help design the improvements based on how they get the most value out of the platform.    As a result of this collaborative approach, and pre-launch customer previews, Ingram knows it has greatly improved the platform and is excited to share it with customers.

“Our recent and upcoming enhancements to ipage have been designed with our customers in mind,” said Shawn Everson, Chief Commercial Officer, Ingram Content Group. “I’m confident that our changes will improve the experience of our users, helping them more easily find and purchase the content they need to meet the needs of their consumers and patrons.”

Developed and launched in 1998, ipage is the leading online search, order, and account management tool for the book industry. With major upgrades and enhancements since its initial launch, further development of ipage has been accelerated as the needs of retailers and libraries are changing. In 2011, search improvements, faster navigation, enhanced stock status, more product information and images for all users were added. Ingram’s May 2012 launch will provide more relevant tools the book industry needs for future success.

Ingram Content Group Inc. provides a broad range of physical and digital services to the book industry.
