St. Louis Company Raises Funds to Help Improve Local Technology Access

St. Louis web marketing firm, the net impact, raised $4,000 to provide computers to local schools.

St. Louis Web Marketing Firm The Net Impact partnered with the St. Louis Public Schools Foundation this past holiday season to provide new computers to St. Louis City Schools in need. This philanthropic effort, known as the TXCHANGE for Good, has been highly successful in its inaugural year. Thanks to generous donations from many local sources, including eleven different sponsors, The Net Impact helped raise $4,000 for the St. Louis Public Schools Foundation, enough to purchase five new fully-loaded computers.

“We are thrilled to have this support from The Net Impact and the TXCHANGE for Good sponsors”, said Chris Lee, Executive Director of the St. Louis Public Schools Foundation, “The computers purchased from these funds will have an immediate and direct impact on the education of St. Louis students”. The new hardware will be installed in St. Louis Public School libraries and made accessible to all students for research and assistance with homework. The computers will also be used to support educational enrichment activities, such as tutoring, during before- and after-school programs.”

The $4,000 raised during the TXCHANGE for Good matches The Net Impact’s initial goal for the program. However, the relationship between The Net Impact and the St. Louis Public Schools foundation will likely continue in the future.

“We’re excited to see what more we can accomplish with the St. Louis Public Schools Foundation in the future,” said Liz Maritz, Marketing Communications Manager for The Net Impact, “We are strongly dedicated to the local community, and our partnership with the St. Louis Public Schools Foundation provides us the avenue to invest on one of the most important aspects of this community: the education of its young minds.”
