Metadata Technology North America Inc. recently initiated a new project towards the development of web services around the Data Documentation Initiative (DDI) standard for Statistics Canada.

Metadata Technology North America, Inc. (the "Company") is pleased to announce that, in partnership with Breckenhill and The AIM Group, it has engaged in a development project for Statistics Canada aiming at the implementation of web services driven solutions around the Data Documentation Initiative (DDI) metadata specification. This particular project focuses on the extraction of DDI compliant metadata from the Integrated Metadatabase (IMDB), Statistics Canada institutional reference database. The solution will support internal applications, with the potential in the future to deliver public DDI services.
