Q College has received the rare distinction of full unconditional accreditation with the Private Career Training Institutions Agency of BC (PCTIA).

The PCTIA is the regulatory body for private career training institutions in British Columbia. Registration with the PCTIA is mandatory, while accreditation is voluntary.

“Now that Q College is accredited, students have the security of knowing there is an external body governing our instructors, programs and curriculums,” says Alida Sinkelman, Q College’s Senior Administrator. “It adds extra value to the skills they’ve acquired and the certificates and diplomas they’ve earned, which is something employers look for.”

Accreditation also gives Q College the opportunity to build a partnership with StudentAid BC, the provincial student aid program that alleviates financial barriers through loans, grants, bursaries, scholarships and special programs.

“Accreditation is a recognition of our commitment to upholding the highest standards,” says Sinkelman. “We’re looking forward to the school growing and expanding with all these great new changes.”
