Imagine if regulars at a coffee shop could share info about a great new drink they just tried, or if a commuter in Grand Central Station could ask fellow users if any of them could assist with writing a press release.

Over the past few years, the technology innovators at Kansas City-based JimmyGood Technology have made CiiAll the leading online text message management portal. Now, they’re at it again, with the release of MindPush. For this venture, JimmyGood is collaborating with tech visionary Austin Jones, who is providing invaluable product insight and testing.
Social media sites have become increasingly focused on users sharing information with a small group of contacts whose identities they know. Certainly, this provides value for communication and collaborative consumption. However, it only goes so far. JimmyGood recognized that in addition, people want to quickly share a limited amount of information anonymously with others in their specific location, using their mobile device.
And so they created MindPush, an easy-to-download app which empowers users to post messages that others in their locale can see, “like” and, let the community decide if the post is fit for the public, all in real time and with the ease and convenience of sending a text message.
“The sheer volume of anonymous thoughts in one location is immense, but until now, untapped,” said JimmyGood co-founder, Brian Smith. “Imagine if regulars at a coffee shop could share info about a great new drink they just tried, or if a commuter in Grand Central Station could ask fellow users if any of them could assist with writing a press release.”
“We’d then be able to connect with people who share our locations, needs and interests,” adds his co-founder, Dusty Laun. “With MindPush, this is a reality.”
In corporate settings, MindPush could enable a user to quickly locate who could best help them with a technical issue, provide a universal think tank, or give a corporate client the chance to leave real time feedback for all to see. A school-wide MindPush license could allow students to report on any suspicious or inappropriate behavior, or to alert staff in the event of a security incident. With MindPush, the possibilities are limitless.
There are numerous helpful user-defined settings within MindPush. For example, an individual can select a distance – 150 feet, say – within which they want to communicate with other users. To help curb spamming, if three users flag a message as inappropriate, the system intelligently removes it. In addition to viewing real-time messages, users can search through historical posts for each of their locations, and can designate location favorites. Mindpush also offers notifications of new messages, map location of other MindPushers, and offers opportunities for cross- platform interaction.
MindPush is available now from the Android Market, and will be coming to the iTunes app store soon. To learn more, check out http://www.mindpushers.com
