NatureBridge, the largest residential environmental education partner of the National Park Service, today announced the appointment of two new members to its board of directors: Anna Escobedo Cabral, unit chief for strategic communications at the Inter-American Development Bank and former Treasurer of the United States, and Noah Mamet, former national finance director for House Democratic Leader Rep. Richard A. Gephardt and founder of Noah Mamet & Associates LLC.

Anna Escobedo Cabral serves as the unit chief for strategic communications within the external affairs department of the Inter-American Development Bank, whose purpose is to expand economic opportunity and improve the quality of life of low-income communities in Latin America. In this position Cabral manages relationships with government officers, think tanks, civil society organizations and the business community. From 2005 to 2009, Cabral served as the 42nd Treasurer of the United States and was the highest ranking Latina in the George W. Bush administration. Prior to taking office, she was the director of the Smithsonian Institution’s Center for Latino Initiatives. She has also served as president and CEO of the Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility, staff director and chief clerk for the U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary and executive staff director for the U.S. Senate Republican Conference Task Force. She holds degrees from the University of California, Davis, John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and George Mason University School of Law.
Noah Mamet founded the business and political consulting firm Noah Mamet & Associates LLC in 2004 after seven years as national finance director for House Democratic Leader U.S. Rep. Richard A. Gephardt. Over the last eight years, Mamet has overseen expansion of the firm to include almost two dozen clients with offices in San Francisco and New York. He serves as a business and political affairs consultant to numerous companies, families and individuals. He is an unpaid advisor to dozens of democratic national and state political campaigns, including President Obama's re-election campaign. Mamet led efforts for Leader Gephardt to raise more than $238 million for democratic congressional campaigns, committees and other political groups. Mr. Mamet has more than 20 years of development and fundraising experience and has worked directly for numerous national and international leaders, including President Bill Clinton, Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Russian President Mikhail Gorbachev. He has consulted for numerous top business executives, including Elon Musk, Russell Goldsmith, Casey Wasserman, Berry Gordy and Walter Shorenstein. In addition to NatureBridge, Mr. Mamet’s charitable work includes his role as an active board member for LA-based Green Dot Public Schools, which is the largest public charter school operator in California and a leading catalyst for education reform nationwide. A graduate of UCLA, Mamet has been a member of the American Council of Young Political Leaders and the Manhattan Beach Parks and Recreation Commission.
