Aspen, CO (PRWEB) January 24, 2012
Though the weather is expected to be frosty at the ESPN Winter X Games Aspen ’12, being held January 26-29, Texas Pete® Hot Sauce will do its best to provide a heat source to chilled spectators. X games attendees will be beckoned to the Texas Pete® booth for free samples to spice up their X Games snacks, meet some of the athletes and take home cool Texas Pete®-branded merchandise. Additionally, four live, digital interactive chats with extreme athletes will take place during the Winter X Games, presented by Texas Pete® Hot Sauce.
“Texas Pete® is deeply involved in the Winter X Games this year and is setting up some added excitement for the fans,” said Glenn Garner, director of marketing for TW Garner Food Company, the makers of Texas Pete® Hot Sauce. “Throughout the four-day event, we will be giving out thousands of samples of Texas Pete® that can be used to spice up the food available at the X Games.”
The three-pepper zing of Texas Pete® is just one reason to visit the Texas Pete® booth. Winter X Games athletes will be dropping by, courtesy of Rockstar Energy Drinks, to sign autographs and meet their fans. Spectators are encouraged to pick up Texas Pete® “expression signs” at the Texas Pete® booth, which they can use to display a message of support for their favorite athlete. Fans can hold up their signs during the competitions, or use the poster to collect athlete autographs for a take-home souvenir.
The Texas Pete® booth will also feature flat-screen monitors, so fans won’t miss a minute of the Winter X Games action. And, Texas Pete® will be giving away swag items to all who stop by. Plus, a grand prize will be given out at the end of every day, among which will include autographed Rockstar-branded snowboards and freestyle skis.
If spicy samples, X Games athlete visits and the chance to win valuable prizes still isn’t enough of a temptation, Miss Texas Pete® is sure to lure in even the most hard-core fans. Miss Texas Pete® will be on site, joining fans for photos and giving away autographed copies of her 2012 calendar.
Broadcasting live from the X Games medals stage, starting each evening at 7 p.m., extreme sports fans will be able to chat with their favorite athletes via the Winter X Games Athlete Chat Series, presented by Texas Pete® Hot Sauces. These four live chats will be the culmination of the chat series, which began in early January.
The live chats will stream live on the “XCast” tab on the Texas Pete® Facebook page at http://www.Facebook.com/TexasPete. ESPN and X Games social media sites will also stream the chats, as will other sponsor and athlete digital platforms. Viewers can post questions during the chat, to be answered by participating athletes. Brandon Graham, host of ESPN Radio’s Late Night Action will be hosting the athlete chat series.
For those unable to attend the event and for attendees wanting a play-by-play report, Texas Pete® will be providing ongoing updates and commentary of the games on their Twitter feed – http://www.twitter.com/TexasPeteSauces.com.
“The X Games are one of our favorite events for Texas Pete® participation,” said Garner. “The fans are insane and we love their enthusiasm for the sports and for our sauces as well.”
The Texas Pete® booth will be open throughout the Winter X Games, Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. For more information about the ESPN Winter X Games Aspen ’12, visit http://www.ESPN.com.
