Football.co.uk (DSG) have announced the results of a recent poll which asked visitors to their Football News website, football.co.uk, ‘which Summer football Tournament out of Euro 2012 or the Olympics they were most looking forward to?’ The Poll was posted up on the site last Wednesday and as of Tuesday 24th Jan over 79% of the voters opted for the Euro 2012 Tournament. Simon Boyton, MD for Digital Sports Group announced ‘we run many polls on the site, mostly for fun, but the results of this one were of particular interest as we wanted to see whether more may favour the Olympics after recent stories about David Beckham revealing his interest in Captaining the Great Britain football team and of course the failure of the England Team to impress in the World Cup’. With only 21% of the voters saying that they were mostly looking forward to the Olympics football tournament it was clear to see the Euro 2012 tournament still holds the majority of the interest.
