Research report compiled by a leading educationist reveals that West Coast High School ranks fifth among top ten highly paid alumni which proves that students from the school moved on to earn more compared to other schools. The study was based on 100 high schools in America, 50 representatives each for online and traditional schools, respectively; indicated 10 schools that produced highly paid individuals in the job market.
A recent initiative by Distance and Online Universities Accreditation Council (DOUAC) in collaboration with West Coast high school is helping lead the way for change. West Coast high school continues to grow at a healthy rate of 90% which helps maintain an effort to spread the benefits of education with a purpose.
Research shows that graduation rates are dismal for many areas of the country. The numbers paint a grim picture. In the 50 largest cities in the United States, only 52 percent of students graduate from high school. Internationally, the nation still lags well behind.
“I congratulate the students and the staff for such a commendable achievement which adds to the overall growth of the school,” said West Coast’s Dean, John Dillon during an interview.
“Our goal is to produce a steady stream of graduates with necessary skill sets,” he added. “All of these public, private, for-profit, not-for-profit organizations are playing an increasingly important role in the education debate; especially in structuring the alternatives; and in providing the support services that are going to determine the outcome.”
Students who are accepted to West Coast high school don’t have to worry about how to pay for their education. The diploma is supported through inter-organizational grants as well as from other organizations, including foundations, and also from individual donors.
“We are trying to remove the barriers to access of education—because it’s the right thing to do and because we want to get more of the best and the brightest,” said the Dean at West Coast, adding, “We feel like we are on a mission here, and it’s very exciting. We don’t plan to disappoint.”
