I am very excited about this acquisition by Herzing University and the opportunities that it provides for growth and expansion of our programs and services to the healthcare industry in the United States.
Milwaukee, WI (PRWEB) January 24, 2012
Herzing University announced today that it has acquired the Medical Technology Management Institute (MTMI), the leader in continuing education seminars, courses and webinars for radiologic technologists and diagnostic medical physicists, which are among the many careers in healthcare that require continuing education on a regular basis in order to maintain proficiency.
Through MTMI, Herzing University will now offer continuing education across the United States in the areas of radiography, mammography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, bone densitometry, nuclear medicine, radiation therapy, medical dosimetry and healthcare management. This acquisition positions Herzing University as a leader in continuing education and cross training for medical physicists, radiologic technologists, sonographers, medical dosimetrists and other medical imaging and radiation therapy professionals.
“We are proud to welcome MTMI into the Herzing University system,” said Renee Herzing, president of Herzing University. “MTMI is a leader in quality and innovation in healthcare training, and their programs add to our growing portfolio of continuing education offerings so we can meet the ongoing career advancement needs of our alumni and business partners, especially in the growing heathcare arena. Together we will help support healthcare in leveraging new technologies to improve service to patients. We look forward to offering their training at our numerous University campuses as well as other national venues.”
In addition to the programs offered by MTMI, Herzing University’s continuing education division provides a wide range of information technology training through its MLT/Instructing Technologies locations in Brookfield, Madison and Appleton, Wisconsin.
“I am very excited about this acquisition by Herzing University and the opportunities that it provides for growth and expansion of our programs and services to the healthcare industry in the United States,” said J. Ed Barnes, Ph.D., President of the Medical Technology Management Institute. “The continuing education programs of MTMI are very complementary to the healthcare education offerings of Herzing University, and we look forward to serving the clientele we have built over the years, as well as Herzing alumni who can now look to us for their continuing education needs.”
