Centice Corporation, a pioneer in chemical verification and identification using Raman spectroscopy and computational sensor technology, announced today Dr. David Brady is returning to the company he co-founded in 2004 as Chief Science Officer and member of the Board of Directors.
Dr. Brady is a well known expert in photonics and imaging technologies and is the Michael J. Fitzpatrick Endowed Professor of Electrical Engineering at Duke University where he leads the Duke Imaging and Spectroscopy Program (DISP). DISP is supported by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, the Air Force Office of Scientific Research, the Office of Naval Research and the Department of Homeland Security. Current DISP projects include snapshot gigapixel photography, x-ray tomography, compressive spectral imaging and millimeter wave diffraction tomography.
As an entrepreneur, Dr. Brady is a founder of both Distant Focus Corporation, which builds camera arrays, and Advanced Quantum Technologies, which builds gigapixel cameras. He is also actively involved in several programs for homeland security applications.
Dr. Brady earned his Ph.D. in Applied Physics from California Institute of Technology, and has extensively published in the fields of sensor systems, optical imaging, and photonics.
