Data analyzed from online do-it-yourself last will and testament website Createmywill.com is showing the number of younger woman interested in downloading online last will and testament forms has not only increased; but is reaching younger target audiences as well.

Traditionally, the images associated with the signing or issuing of last will and testament was that of wealthy older males but some interesting new data released by Createmywill.com compiled through website and social media pages showed not only are more woman researching and showing interest in will and estate planning services but getting younger as well.

According to officials, 46% of all visits to the website and social media pages came from women under the age of 34 years and surprisingly-huge gains made in visits from teenagers as 18% of visits from females came from those 19 and under looking at the websites line of will forms.

Perhaps it’s a more sophisticated internet audience or a sign of the economic times, but the numbers clearly show that a greater number of young females are going online and asking the question of “how to protect my assets.” For a demographic not commonly associated with financial planning however, this turning of the tide may be one trend that is sorely overdue.
