***Revised Date and Updated Player Announcement***

Tournament spots are still available for the inaugural St. Jude Warren Moon Hall of Fame Invitational golf tournament. The tournament will take place on the beautiful island of Oahu, Hawaii, on Friday, Jan. 27, and feature golf with some of football fans’ favorite current and Hall of Fame National Football League (NFL) players including Warren Moon, Eric Dickerson, Larry Fitzgerald and Tony Gonzalez to name a few.

Moon decided to host the tournament after traveling to Memphis, Tenn., earlier this year and meeting several patients and families battling cancer and other deadly diseases at St. Jude.

“Once you visit St. Jude you realize there’s no other place like it,” said Moon. “The golf tournament is going to be a top-notch event that gives people the chance to golf with some of their favorite football pros and also make a difference for these kids fighting for their lives.”

The tournament festivities include a Pairings Party lunch, where foursomes will be paired with a current or Hall of Fame NFL player; a Team Scramble tournament played on Hawaii's only Ernie Els-designed, private, by-invitation-only course; and an Awards Dinner. Tournament packages are $1,000 for an individual golfer and $4,000 per foursome.

All golfers will receive:

  •     One round of golf and cart at the Hoakalei Country Club.
  •     A celebrity to accompany each foursome (individual golfers will be assigned to a foursome).
  •     Access to the Pairings Party lunch before play and refreshments during play.
  •     Round-trip transportation from host hotel.
  •     Specialty event souvenir items including a golf shirt, a sleeve of golf balls and a player swag bag.
  •     Access to the Awards Banquet immediately following the tournament.
  •     Souvenir photo with celebrity.

St. Jude and Warren Moon would also like to extend a special thank you to our generous partners: Crabtree & Evelyn, Tag Heuer, and Sedu for their continued support.

St. Jude’s mission is to find cures for kids suffering from cancer and other deadly diseases. It does this by combining world-class research with first-class patient care and teams of doctors and researchers working together under one roof to find new and better treatments. And, families never pay St. Jude for care – St. Jude covers the cost of food, travel and lodging for each patient and a family member. St. Jude was also the first institution to develop a cure for sickle cell disease with a bone marrow transplant and has one of the largest pediatric sickle cell programs in the country.

About St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital:
Since opening 50 years ago, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital has changed the way the world treats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. No family ever pays St. Jude for the care their child receives and, for every child treated here, thousands more have been saved worldwide through St. Jude discoveries. The hospital has played a pivotal role in pushing U.S. pediatric cancer survival rates from 20 to 80 percent overall, and is the first and only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center devoted to children. It is also a leader in the research and treatment of blood disorders and infectious diseases in children. St. Jude was founded by the late entertainer Danny Thomas, who believed that no child should die in the dawn of life.
