The novelty and usefulness of this formula has intrigued sponsors.
Seattle, WA (PRWEB) January 27, 2012
A program focused on putting real-world case studies and user experiences on the stage has attracted the attention of a growing list of large sponsors for the Cloud Fair 2012 cloud computing conference.
Box, Amazon Web Services, Google, Red Hat, Opscode, HP, Eucalyptus, Dell, Savvis, Rackspace, Softlayer and Terremark are among the major players in private and public cloud who have signed on as sponsors.
Cloud Fair has assembled a program that focuses on enterprise adoption of available and vetted cloud computing offerings. The program offers case studies of businesses that have successfully moved a diversity of computing workloads to various cloud environments. Content will examine the technical elements of what made these deployments work, the challenges faced along the way and the organizational and cultural dynamics that make cloud deployment difficult.
The event, produced by SH Worldwide, will take place April 17-19 at the Sheraton Seattle. Program and registration available at http://www.cloudfairconference.com.
In the past year, the number of cloud computing conferences worldwide has rapidly expanded along with the industry. The most successful events thus far have dealt with the complex and evolving technical landscape in cloud because successful real-world deployments and case studies have been few and far between. As the industry moves steadily forward, enterprises are increasingly open to sharing their stories, and telling those stories is the formula Cloud Fair 2012 has applied in building the program.
“The novelty and usefulness of this formula has intrigued sponsors,” said Kent Barnard, director of conference development at SH Worldwide. “The response has been phenomenal. Our goal is to give attendees practical advice from businesses that have deployed simple, secure, and financially successful cloud solutions in their business.”
Spread over three days, Cloud Fair 2012 offers a mix of workshops, tutorials, keynotes and breakout sessions, all focused on giving business and technical leadership the information and resources they need to map out a migration path to cloud that fits their unique circumstances. The second and third days offer a mix of keynotes and tracks targeting infrastructure and application developers, security best practices, end-user education and the business opportunities cloud makes possible beyond cost savings. The second and third days will also feature an expo hall.
Confirmed keynote speakers at Cloud Fair 2012 include Dan Levin of Box, Simon Crosby of Bromium, Marten Mickos of Eucalyptus Systems, Linda Bernardi of StraTerra Partners, John Engages of Rackspace and Jimesh Varia of Amazon Web Services. Attendees can choose from more than 40 sessions and 10 hands-on workshops.
