Florida Home Partnership (FHP) proudly announces the upcoming parliamentary procedures workshop, Learn How to Conduct a Proper Meeting. The featured trainer is Ann Guiberson, a veteran of parliamentary procedures.
Ms. Guiberson has been a member of the National Association of Parliamentarians since 1991 and has been a registered professional parliamentarian in 1992. She currently serves on the NAP Board of Directors as the Vice-President. Previously she served for four years as a Director-at-large and chairman of the NAP educational resources committee and was the editor of the National Parliamentarian magazine from 2005-2007. She is a past president of the Florida State Association of Parliamentarians (FSAP) and is now serving as the Webmaster for FSAP.
Ann was an association executive and has earned the CAE (Certified Association Executive) designation from the American Society of Association Executives. She was also honored by being named the Florida Executive of the Year in 2009. Ann is a graduate of George Mason University in Virginia.
A popular instructor and serves on the faculty of two leadership academies in the southeast as well as a regular parliamentary procedure trainer for many local chapters. In addition to creating educational materials, Ann brings a unique perspective from her association experience as well as parliamentary expertise to the classroom. The combination leads to practical, interactive, enjoyable and energetic sessions that leave students asking for more.
Community leaders and members of homeowners associations, non-profit agencies, civic organizations, religious ministries, government agencies, youth groups, for profit businesses, and all other associations are invited to attend. The training is scheduled at the Dorothy Duke Community Center in Bayou Pass Village, 2203 Dorothy Duke Lane, Ruskin, FL 33570 (Hillsborough County). Check in starts at 5:30 P.M. (food and drinks will be available) and training begins at 6:00 – 9:00 P.M. Pre-registration is required and seating is limited. The $30 registration fee includes food and materials.
