DailyDAC, LLC, is pleased to announce Laura Davis Jones, of Pachulski, Stang, Ziehl &Jones has joined the faculty for the three-part webinar series, Restructuring, Insolvency & Distressed Investing For 2012, being co-sponsored by West LegalEdcenter.
The webinar series kicks off on January 31st, according to Kristen Weber, DailyDAC director, Kristen Weber, with “Strategic Alternatives for Distressed Businesses.” Subsequent sessions will include
“Everything the General Counsel Should Know about Chapter 11 Bankruptcy” and “How to Buy a Distressed Business.”
Jones first gained national recognition as debtor’s counsel in the Continental Airlines bankruptcy case. Since that time, she has served as lead counsel to dozens of chapter 11 debtors and committee. She is joining other leaders in the field, such as James H.M. Sprayregen, who is recognized as one of the country's outstanding restructuring lawyers and has led some of the most complex Chapter 11 filings in recent history, and Jonathan Friedland, a protégé of both Jones and Sprayregen, who went onto author two leading treatises on restructuring.
The other distinguished panelists include Richard Carmody (Adams and Reese); William Henrich (Getzler Henrich); Melissa Kibler Knoll (Mesirow Financial); David Lorry (Versa Capital Management); Rick Mikels (Mintz Levin); Hamid Rafatjoo (Venable); Tom Salerno (Squire, Sanders & Dempsey); and J. Scott Victor (SSG Capital Advisors).
“These are some of the biggest names in the field,” according to DailyDAC director Kristen Weber, “Scott, for example, is one of the busiest special situations investment bankers in the country; Tom has practiced in more countries than most airline pilots have flown to; and Melissa is the immediate past president of the American Bankruptcy Institute.”
