We are thrilled with the way the rings turned out, said Mavs owner Mark Cuban.

The Dallas Mavericks presented the 2011 NBA Championship rings to players during an on court ceremony before last night’s game at American Airlines Center. Cast in 14 karat white gold, each ring prominently features the distinctive Mavericks logo set in brilliant round diamonds. The rings were delivered earlier in the week by Jostens, a leading designer and producer of custom championship jewelry. The Mavericks team, including players Jason Kidd, Dirk Nowitzki and Jason Terry, collaborated with Jostens master jewelers to create custom rings for all players, coaches and members of the Mavericks organization.
“We are thrilled with the way the rings turned out,” said Mavs owner Mark Cuban. “The detailing of the ring is amazing, from the 31 diamonds representing the number of years the Mavs have been in the NBA to the 'Time is Now' slogan to the results of our Playoff run. These rings will be cherished by every player and coach.”
The 2011 NBA Championship ring recognizes the Mavericks’ successful season and first Larry O’Brien NBA Championship Trophy for Dallas. The prominent Mavericks logo on the ring top is set against a custom blue stone encircled by 31 custom cut princess diamonds, one for each year the Mavericks have been in Dallas and the NBA. The ring bezel features “World Champions” flanked by 10 round cut diamonds on each side of the crest.
One shoulder of the distinctive ring includes the player’s name and number along with the Mavericks stylized “M” and familiar NBA logo. The Mavericks ‘M’ features 15 stones to represent the 15 members of the 2011 Championship Team. The opposite shoulder incorporates “Dallas Mavericks” with the team motto, “The Time Is Now” engraved in a ribbon. The side also includes the NBA Championship trophy created with round brilliant cut diamonds and “2011” appearing in blue enamel against a black antiqued background.
Custom engraving on the inside of each ring enhance the intricate, one-of-a-kind design. The original Dallas Mavericks team logo, in honor of the team’s first owner, Don Carter, is shown on one side. The other side features the results of the four playoff series won, with the NBA Finals victory over Miami slightly larger.
“It is an honor to help the Mavericks celebrate their breakout season with this championship symbol,” said Chris Poitras, director, Sports Sales and Marketing, Jostens. “We would like to congratulate the entire organization and sincerely hope that each ring produced by our master jewelers will be worn with pride and reflect the significance of the Mavericks’ win in NBA history.”
The team is offering a custom selection of personalized jewelry and collectibles, available at http://www.jostens.com/Mavericks, to help Maverick Season Ticket Holders and fans celebrate and remember the championship season that culminated in a 4-2 series victory over the Miami Heat in the 2011 NBA finals. The team will also work with Jostens to help fans participate in the championship experience by hosting a series of events at home games through the month of January.
Jostens has been a leader in the design and production of championship rings and fine jewelry that recognize professional teams and athletes for over 60 years. Custom designed rings are produced at Jostens-owned facilities in Dallas, Minneapolis and Montreal.
