ProProcure Launched as SABMiller PLC's Global Brands Point of Sale Partner

Under the slogan “Everything you Need to Buy” ProProcure is launched as SABMiller’s Global Point of Sale (PoS) partner for its Global Brands and has delivered a series of online Global Buying Events which have allowed markets to buy an approved core range of PoS items and delivered price reductions of up to 46%

ProProcure Ltd, the Marketing Spend Management Company, announces that they have formed a partnership with SABMiller plc., one of the world's largest brewers with brewing interests and distribution agreements across 75 countries in six continents, to act as their Global Brands PoS partner.

SABMiller require a wide range of branded PoS materials to support the development of their brands around the globe and have chosen ProProcure to provide a complete spend management solution which includes supply chain management. As Global Brands PoS partner ProProcure work alongside the SABMiller Global Brand teams, and their agencies, to identify, develop, market and then distribute the core ranges of PoS marketing collateral for SABMiller Global Brands including Pilsner Urquell, Peroni Nastro Azzurro and Grolsch. All PoS materials are made available to the SABMiller teams through an e-procurement web-shop designed, built and hosted by ProProcure on their Software as a Service (SaaS) platform.

Ewan Davenport, Head of Decision Support – Group Marketing & Technical, for SABMiller said “After a review of the marketplace we chose ProProcure as our Global Brands PoS partner as it was clear they could offer an end-to-end PoS spend management solution in line with our own business objectives. It was clear that ProProcure had the knowledge and experience we needed but most importantly the right attitude and approach to work very much as an extension of our Global Brands team.”

One of ProProcure’s first end-user initiatives was to launch SABMiller’s first series of online Global Brands PoS Buying Events. The events, held across brands, have the key objective of ensuring brand consistency in local markets as well as price reductions via economies of scale principles. The first events were deemed a great success with positive user feedback and price reductions of up to 46%. Further events will take place every 3-4 months.

In relation to the first Global Buying Events Tracey Wakelin, Global Brand Marketing Coordinator, for Pilsner Urquell said “We are delighted with the feedback we have received from the end users on the Buying Events and the PoS web-shop, who said they found the online service straightforward and easy to use without the need for training. We look forward to future events being just as successful”.
