Mountain Laurel Handrails are now available nationwide to help architects and designers expand their choices of decorative balustrade. Brought to designers and decorators by Rustic Wood Railings, these railings are made with mountain laurel branches that are woven and joined together by skilled woodworkers in the Smoky Mountains. Each section takes on the special characteristics of the sticks used in it. And since no two sticks grow alike in the forest, no two handrails will ever be the same.
Through close interaction with the homeowner and the building crew, post-to-post measurements are determined. When work on a project is complete, the order is carefully packaged in a custom built crate and shipped nationwide to the project location via a freight carrier. Handrail sections are built slightly longer than actual measurements so that they can be cut to fit on site. Once cut, railings are screwed into place and the on-site crew adds a few more boards to finish the installation.
There is really no other railing system that has the unique rustic wood beauty and creative artistry of Mountain Laurel Handrails! Company owner James Pader says, “I’m excited to bring these works of art to homes and buildings nationally!”
