In her new novel “The Private Club: That’s Not So Private” (published by AuthorHouse) debut author Ronnie offers an insider’s look at the debauchery, hypocrisy and outright crime inside a members-only club. This first-person narrative is sure to entertain.
She was a young beautiful island woman, and a go-getter. She married her first husband at a young age but she decided that life had to change. Being tied down was not what she wanted. It wasn’t where she wanted to be. She takes a position working in a members-only club, but that turns out to be nothing like she expected.
What follows is a workplace experience like something out of a Hollywood movie. She finds sexual innuendo and outright abuse at every corner. Even the club president makes advances on her. “I almost choked when he said this to me because of his face,” the narrator writes. “He was very serious and you can tell that he was and did not care what I thought about it.”
This trend, the author believes, might be found at many such private clubs. She wrote “The Private Club” so that the experiences she describes within it might help other women avoid similar circumstances.
Take a trip into the sexual escapades of privateers caught in a whirlwind of cat and mouse. Everyone knows the workplace can be where one gets ahead in life, but sometimes the cost is just too high.
