According to a study in April 2011 by Ketchum and BlogHer, 78 percent of the U.S. online population of 164 million, frequently use social media (footnote 1). In addition, the study reports that blog usage continues to rise at the same rate as social networking with 40 percent of the general population reading or interacting with blogs. The top reason identified in the study is to discover recommendations and advice from trusted resources.
The Door to Door blog provides an opportunity for customers to post testimonials, share experiences, opinions and will also be used to communicate helpful moving and storage tips for the benefit of the reader. The blog is also a way for the company to share information about its “Door to Door Cares” outreach program and the various community and non-profit organizations it supports.
