McCoughtry released her single “Illusion” on January 5, 2012, and with the help of her favorite training system, SpeedTracs the music video was created. The video for “Illusion” was shot December 29th and is loosely based on her real life story about growing up with a dream or “Illusion” of being able to play as a professional athlete in an industry that was dominantly male. The inspirational video features Angel training on the SpeedTracs System, demonstrating the work, dedication, sweat, and tears it takes to achieve dreams. Angel’s goal is to be a role model to young girls showing that you can accomplish your dreams with hard work, dedication, and sweat all the while still maintaining the poise, charm, and spirit of a girlie girl with good morals. Her dream of being a Pop and R&B singer is being made possible with the help of SpeedTracs.
While shooting the “Illusion” music video angel had the opportunity to use the SpeedTracs System, “There are so many things that SpeedTracs brings to a team. The stop and go, train like you play, the sports specific curriculum, the ability to track your own progress, SpeedTracs brings so many different things to sports that truly help. Like we said the goal is championships, I mean this thing is honestly one of the top machines I’ve ever been on as a professional player and I was exhausted the entire time, and that’s a good thing. It really pushed me beyond every level. Most workouts I don’t really get tired and I’m still ready to go, but with this thing I could feel the rips and burn when I’ve only been on it ten minutes. So you know I’m excited to get back on it because I want to take my game to the next level. This is it. This isn’t a gimmick or games, This is true story stuff. This is SpeedTracs.”-Angel McCoughtry,
“The SpeedTracs system is intense. I think this is one of the best systems out there that could be used for the Olympics in any sport.-Angel McCoughtry WNBA player of the Atlanta Dream
