Columbus, OH (PRWEB) January 31, 2012
Champion Real Estate Services announced today that Stephen Doyle, a former associate analyst for PFC Energy, will become the company’s chief financial officer. Doyle will oversee Champion’s finance and accounting functions and will also become a part of Champion’s executive management team, which directs all aspects of company strategy, planning and operations. Doyle will formally start on Feb. 1, 2012.
“I'm very excited to be joining the team at Champion,” Doyle said. “The company has experienced remarkable growth thus far and is showing no sign of slowing down. It's impressive how they've really been able to both develop and execute a strategy that benefits investors and residents at the same time.”
“And Columbus is a great city to be in,” he added. “While other places in Ohio and around the country have experienced significant difficulty over the last few years, Columbus appears to be thriving, and I really believe the city's best days are still ahead of it. Knowing that I'm going to work with a team of dedicated, experienced professionals who really know that market, is an exciting proposition.”
Doyle has moved to Ohio from Washington, D.C. to lead Champion’s financial team. CEO Brian Yeager said he is delighted to have Doyle join the company. “We are elated about Stephen Doyle joining our team. As CFO, he will be responsible for all of Champion’s financial risks, planning and reporting,” Yeager said. “I have known Steve for many years and respect and admire him on a personal and professional level. He will be instrumental in the growth and executive leadership of Champion moving forward.”
Prior to joining Champion, Doyle worked as a financial fellow for Distributed Sun LLC, was a finance intern for the Overseas Private Investment Corporation and was a cryptologic linguist for the United States Army. He is an Iraq War veteran and is fluent in both Arabic and Spanish.
“Champion seems like the kind of business where no one is afraid to roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty, where the traditional structure of supervisors and employees really gives way to a spirit of teamwork,” Doyle said. “From my time in the military, this type of unpretentious, dedicated culture is something that I really prize and believe in. Outside of the military, I've worn a number of finance/economic hats in both academia and professional life. At Champion, I see an opportunity to really consolidate everything I've learned, and more importantly, put it into action as we grow and expand the business.”
Doyle is a 2003 graduate of The Ohio State University, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in international business with minors in economics and Spanish. He holds an Associate of Arts degree in Arabic and also completed a Master of Arts in international economics and international relations from The Johns Hopkins University.
