The Center for Wellness & Personal Growth at Bradford Health Services announces workshops designed to assist adults, adolescents, couples, and families who are enduring sustained levels of pressure and anxiety due to the financial strain of the economy.
The Center for Wellness & Personal Growth at Bradford Health Services provides valuable assistance for personal growth to teens, adults, couples, and families. According to The Center’s Director, Julian Duke Ridolphi of Bradford Health Services, “We help individuals to heal from lack of direction, lack of purpose, past trauma, grief and resentments. We help them learn to be happy and find purpose.”
Today, individuals and families across the country are enduring sustained levels of pressure and anxiety due to the financial strain of the economy. The tension is causing conflict to rise in many relationships. The relationships of many married couples or single unit families are struggling or in trouble. “I see so many couples fighting and playing the game of who is right and everything is defined by what is wrong,” said Ridolphi “We offer intensive therapeutic workshops as a major intervention in correcting and healing the emotional strain unresolved conflict causes” he said.
High levels of stress are leading some to self medicate with alcohol and drugs. Ridolphi states the disease of alcoholism and drug addiction is a major stress factor and has a monumental impact on addicted individuals and their families. “The Wellness Center Family Workshop assists family members with their own healing. It helps them understand the disease of addiction, their roles in their families’ unhealthy patterns, and helps them take responsibility for their actions albeit well meaning”, he said.
Workshops vary in length from half-‐day programs to four-‐day intensive therapeutic work. Ridolphi said Bradford’s Center for Wellness and Personal Growth looks to add workshops that include weight reduction, yoga, guided meditation and health coaches. “Health coaches help to provide programs focused on physical health. Improvement of physical health improves mental health greatly”, he stated.
The Phase Two Personal Growth Program at Bradford Health Services employs an integrative therapy, which is an effective treatment approach for individuals in the second stage of recovery (an assessment will determine admission). It is especially beneficial for family members dealing with loved ones. Anyone who has unresolved depression, anger, grief, or resentment could be a candidate for the program. Phase Two Personal Growth teaches people how to be happy and how to have grace when they are not.
