As collaborations increase and Indigo Furniture starts to appear in more and more homes around the country there is no doubt that there will be more showcase events like this one in London, up and down the country.

It is not the first time that these two companies have worked together, as Indigo originally fitted all of their iconic plank furniture into the Notting Hill based coffee shop. Soon after this, Indigo were back down in London, completing the refurbishment of their Chiswick branch, where they used the their stunning reclaimed beam furniture in the designs.

To celebrate the refurbishment of the coffee shop, Indigo Furniture arranged for a viewing of some of their furniture at the recently refurbished Notting Hill branch on the 26th January. For both companies it was the perfect opportunity to demonstrate what they do best. For Indigo Furniture this was showcasing the beautifully designed furniture that they hand build, which is suitable for both the home and businesses environments. For the Kitchen & Pantry Coffee shop this entailed providing their delicious slow roasted coffee blends and freshly made sandwiches, crepes and brownies.

Indigo also gave every guest who RSVP’d to the event the very special gift of one of their renowned Lazy Calf Doorstops. The funky doorstops are miniature versions of the cow’s which produce the leather for Indigo’s vintage leather sofas and armchairs. Their shabby chic range of sofas feature in both of the Kitchen & Pantry Coffee Shop branches and are sold by the company online and in store and feature alongside a range of sofas and armchairs which Indigo collaborated on with Mulberry.

The iconic luxury British lifestyle brand Mulberry are famous for their luxury fashion pieces and distinctive fabrics and patterns and were the ideal business match for Indigo. Both are considered to be leading British manufacturers in their respective fields, Mulberry in both fashion and lifestyle products while Indigo Furniture has been a leading example of how a business can remain true to its underlying principles of using high quality materials, traditional craft techniques and keeping exemplary customer service while growing into a brand recognised throughout the country and beyond.

As recognition and acknowledgement of the furniture brand increases, the number of commercial projects that Indigo Furniture are involved in continues to grow. Two of their most recent projects saw them bringing the distinctive Indigo brand to opposite ends of the country. At the beautiful coastal town of Bude in Cornwall, Indigo worked with the romantic hideaway One4Two to create three luxurious holiday suites. Then at the Scottish Highlands, Indigo worked alongside the Wildside Highland Lodges near the South banks of Loch Ness, where their stunning furniture was used to compliment and enhance the beauty of the log built cabins.

Indigo Furniture have even worked on commercial projects abroad which include the picturesque Bellevue Barn situated in the French town of Bergerac which was recently restored by owners Graham and Lucy Carle. Indigo worked with the couple to furnish the barn with furniture which would suit the original beams. The collaboration resulted in a beautiful fusion of simple design, natural materials and impressive craftsmanship visible in both the building and its beams as well as the furniture. Indigo Furniture was also involved in the Aspria Royal La Rasante Hotel and Spa in Brussels, Belgium. The award winning hotel group was founded in 2000 as a private members’ sports, spa and health club but has since expanded to include restaurants, day spas and hotels across Belgium, Germany and Italy. Each hotel is individually designed to reflect its surroundings and with the help of Indigo Furniture’s unique pieces the hotel has gone on to become the jewel in the Aspria Hotel chain.

As collaborations increase and Indigo Furniture starts to appear in more and more homes around the country there is no doubt that there will be more showcase events like this one in London, up and down the country.
