California's workers’ compensation laws went through major reforms in 2004 with the aim of cutting costs. The result is a bureaucratic maze of endless regulations, confusing and conflicting rulings, red tape, delays and frustration for the participants, whether injured workers, employers, doctors, insurers or lawyers. Online Magazine arose in the aftermath of this monumental and sweeping change with the goal of providing practical guidance to lawyers, the medical community, insurers, injured workers and other workers’ compensation professionals. More than 100 articles include how-to articles, practice tips, interviews with lawyers, doctors, therapists, vocational expert witnesses as well as a ‘War Stories’ section for curious cases and “Computer Corner” for office efficiency.

How-to articles include “Managing the Big Case,” ‘Structuring a Settlement” and dealing with apportionment and pain. Computer Corner articles highlight the latest techniques and applications to stay organized and cut wasted hours.
