More and more people are choosing to get married on Folly Beach.
Folly Beach, SC (PRWEB) January 31, 2012
A wedding marks the first day of the rest of a couple’s life together, so it’s no wonder so many of those couples, especially the brides, want that day to be perfect.
Nothing is more perfect than a beach wedding and Folly Beach, located just minutes away from historic and beautiful Charleston, SC, is the go-to place for seaside nuptials.
The beach, which is a popular vacation destination all year round thanks to its climate of hot summers and mild winters, features numerous rental homes for every budget (including the shoestring and nonexistent), restaurants and caterers, wedding planners and florists, and everything else a couple needs for their big day.
Unlike many other beaches in the area and along the east coast, couples can opt to be married on the beach itself in any location, any time of day. The most popular area on Folly Beach for weddings is across from the historic Morris Lighthouse or in the gazebo on the pier.
Additionally, weddings can be held at the county park, the beachfront Tides hotel, in a beach house, on a boat just off the coast, or just about anywhere else.
Another benefit to a Folly Beach wedding is its proximity to Charleston. This allows for couples and their wedding guests to experience the best of both worlds by having their bachelor and bachelorette parties, rehearsal dinner, and reception in town and then utilize the many different charter bus companies in the area to take them back to the beach.
The only prerequisite to getting married on the beach is that couples must obtain a marriage license a minimum of 24 hours before the date of the wedding and if the wedding celebration will have more than 25 guests a party permit needs to be obtained from the public safety department in the town of Folly Beach.
The best part about getting married on Folly Beach is that couples can immediately begin their honeymoon in one of the many rental homes which feature everything from cozy condos and beach bungalows to oceanside multi-level manors with elevators and pools to traditional hotels.
Folly Beach is just under 30 minutes from the Charleston International Airport, so whether a couple’s trip begins or ends on the beach, it’s never hard to get to or from Folly.
“More and more people are choosing to get married on Folly Beach,” Robert Hart, founder of FollyBeach.com said, “and FollyBeach.com can help them plan their special day.”
