MDeverywhere, Inc., a provider of physician revenue cycle management services, is pleased to announce that their clients received $1.5 Million in Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS) bonuses in 2011 by using the MDeverywhere solution.

The Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS) encourages quality improvement through the use of clinical performance measures on a variety of clinical conditions. Physicians and other eligible professionals who successfully report on a designated set of quality measures may earn a bonus payment of 1.0% of total allowed charges for covered Medicare services.

“Our PQRS knowledge base and software solution is an important part to our revenue cycle solution. This feature helps our physicians capture key quality measures quickly and easily which will earn them the 1.0% bonus payment. This payment can be a significant revenue gain for a practice,” said Ann Bilyew, MDeverywhere’s CEO. “Practices that are not participating in the program are leaving money on the table.”

“The MDeverywhere PQRS solution makes it fast and easy for our medical group to capture the required PQRS codes. As a result, we received the PQRS bonus payment this year,” said Joanne Schroeter, Office Manager for Orchard Medical Group.

MDeverywhere’s solution incorporates a knowledge base which supports capturing quality measures within a physician’s normal workflow. If the patient is eligible for a measure (i.e. their age, diagnosis and procedure support the measure), the system will ask the physician a question(s) at the point of care which the physician answers with a simple “Yes” or “No”. Based on the physician’s response, MDeverywhere’s software automatically codes the CPT II code. Capturing this information electronically at the point of care while the visit is being documented creates a seamless workflow in capturing the code and ensuring eligibility for the bonus.
