"Sexuality is a fundamental aspect of our well-being. Our sexual choices and experiences shape who we are,and can have an impact on our health, wealth and capacity to make a contribution to our communities and society" Pathways of W.Emp.

Dr. Dee Adio-Moses, the founder of Better Than Ever At Dating and Relationship Teleseminar series will host three relationship experts: Susie Heath from England, Lisa Page from Australia and Natalie Lamb from England. They will be speaking on Sex, Sexuality & Intimacy, Feminine and Masculine Dynamics and the Essence of Womanhood.

The big question being asked of each presenter is: “What does sexuality have to do with women’s empowerment?”

Research from Pathways of Women’s Empowerment shows that sexuality affects women’s political and economic empowerment in a number of important ways. Being exposed to sexual harassment and sexual violence and not being able to exercise choice in their sexual relationships affects women’s well-being and ultimately undermines political, social and economic empowerment. The research also shows that sexuality is a fundamental aspect of our well-being. Our sexual choices and sexual experiences shape who we are, and can have a significant impact on our health, wealth and capacity to make a contribution to our communities and society.

The negative and harmful consequences of sexual stereotyping and the hazards, harassment and abuse that women experience as a result of prevailing sexual and social norms should be cause enough for development intervention. There can be no empowerment if women are unable to exercise control over their own bodies. But this is not all. An approach that emphasizes the negative can also be dis- empowering. By rendering women as vulnerable victims of harassment and sexual abuse, a focus on the hazards and harms of sexuality draws attention away from the positive aspects of sexuality. The goal of Better Than Ever at Dating and Relationship’s online event is to emphasize the positive dimensions of sexuality and their contribution to women’s empowerment.

Heath, Page and Lamb, the three experts for the day, will discuss ways listeners can connect with their divine essence, reclaim their authentic self, ignite their personal spark, and enjoy the juice in their lives.
