The ceramic tile line provides our customers with a new and unique way to display fine art in their homes in a functional form.

The online art gallery, overstockArt.com, is pleased to introduce new pieces to its new line of hand carved and hand painted ceramic tiles. The latest addition to the hit line includes masterpieces by Wassily Kandinsky and Georgia O’Keeffe. The line was launched in the spring of 2011 with art trivet tiles.

Long recognized as the go-to source on the web for purchasing art reproduction oil paintings, the new line of decorative ceramic tiles has been met with much success.“Since introducing the line last spring we have sold out on nearly each and every item that has been introduced,” said David Sasson, overstockArt.com’s president and CEO. “Our biggest challenge is to keep up with the demand.”

The decorative ceramic tile line consists of three different products. The inlay tiles are available as a single image tile or a mural image in a set of 12 tiles. They can be used in a variety of places including, baths, backsplashes, fire places, and walls. The trivet tiles can be used as wall décor or as decorative trivets. Like the paintings available on overstockArt.com, the ceramic tiles focus on reproductions of great masters such as Claude Monet, Pablo Picasso, Vincent van Gogh, and more.

The new decorative ceramic tiles introduced to the line include:

  • “Farbstudie Quadrate,” Wassily Kandinsky – The rich colors and strong geometrics of Kandinsky’s tour-de-force comes to life in a 14” x 11” inlay tile or 14” x 11” art trivet tile, both are available for $49.
  • “Oriental Poppies,” Georgia O’Keeffe – Vivid shades of red, orange and yellow burst from this stunning replication of O’Keeffe’s famous work of art depicting a detailed view of a poppy. A 14” x 11” inlay tile or 14” x 11” art trivet tile are available for $49.

Sasson explains that the company went to great lengths to create a superior product, “We developed a unique technology that makes the tiles extremely durable - they do not scratch or react to hot surfaces.” He continues, “The tiles are all hand painted, using rich colors and creating a texture of ‘brush-like-strokes’ that translate beautifully to this medium. The ceramic tile line provides our customers with a new and unique way to display fine art in their homes in a functional form.”

Additional art trivet tiles and inlay tiles are now available, view the full line at http://www.overstockart.com/ceramictilegallery.html. Check back often, as the company plans to expand the collection in the months ahead with more artists and styles.
