The Fox Valley Chamber of Commerce was launched this month by Aurora businessman, David Berens. “Our goal is to create a large regional chamber with a heavy emphasis on networking and business development; one that brings together business from throughout the Fox Valley region,” says Berens.    This new chamber is built by business for business and will offer members relevant, effective networking and training opportunities. It’s all about networking and building new synergies. The Fox Valley Chamber is projecting a membership of 1200-1500 businesses and has plans for innovative programs that will encourage business between members.

The new Fox Valley Chamber’s target geography is along the Fox River from I-90 in the north to I-80 in the south and includes the communities of Elgin, South Elgin, St. Charles, Geneva, Elburn, Batavia, North Aurora, Aurora, Sugar Grove, Montgomery, Oswego and Yorkville, but welcomes businesses from all over the greater Chicago metropolitan area. The response has been incredible and there are already members from as far away as Oakbrook and Oak Park. Businesses support and network in their community by joining the local chamber but can greatly expand their networking opportunities by leveraging the breadth of the Fox Valley Chamber. It’s a great option for businesses that want to market regionally, as opposed to having to join 8-10 smaller chambers, which can get costly. The Fox Valley Chamber even offers a monthly payment option to make it affordable for small businesses to join.

Networking meetings start in February and the Inaugural Business After Hours event is scheduled for Feb. 22nd, 2012 at the Fox Valley Country Club. For event details and registration information visit the website at http://www.FoxValleyChamber.com.
