"$antorum (All Over Town)." has officially been release by Boston based musical group, Ira Davey and Friendship. The video tells the story about two friends, Ira Davey and Friendship, who are in class. Ira Davey teaches Friendship "The $antorum." The actually dance itself is similar to many popular line dances, and involves side to side movement, knee slapping, thrusting, and turning.
Ira Davey and Friendship composed the song is based in the pop style, and uses pop vocal FX such as autotune harmony. Additional tracks are played by ukulele and by beatboxing. The entire song was composed and recorded in January 2012. The video was also shot in January 2012
The song is very much a parody, but composer Ira Davey notes, "We tried to put as much into the production value as possible. It was only a duo who composed the song, so we were limited in our resources, but we tried to get the raw energy that we though The $antorum represented."
