First Community Credit Union and The Houston Texans have teamed up for their second annual “Stars in the Classroom” program. The 2012 program kicked off on August 20th, and the next stop is October 16th at Morton Ranch Junior High in Katy ISD at 9:00 a.m. to 10 a.m. and Sampson Elementary in Cy-Fair ISD at 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The two deserving teachers will be awarded football tickets, sideline passes, a $500 donation to their school district in their honor, an autographed jersey, and a visit to their classroom from Houston Texans fullback James Casey! The nominating student will receive an autographed Houston Texans football.
“Houston is fortunate to have strong teachers that help students realize their potential and reach their goals,” First Community Credit Union President and CEO Ron Downing said.
The “Stars in the Classroom” program will honor ten exemplary teachers and the impact they make on our future. The teachers are nominated by students and parents.
