Mechanical Service Contractors of America (MSCA), the leading national trade association of HVACR professionals and Convoy of Hope, an international humanitarian relief agency, will deliver 40,000 pounds of food and supplies to the St. Vincent de Paul Village warehouse at 3500 E Street in San Diego, Calif., on Friday, October 12, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. The tractor-trailer load of provisions will support St. Vincent’s efforts to help the homeless in the greater San Diego area. MSCA employees and volunteers will be on hand to receive and process the delivery on behalf of St. Vincent.

In addition to receiving the delivery from Convoy of Hope, MSCA employees and volunteers will serve at the main St. Vincent de Paul Village facility located at 1501 Imperial Avenue in San Diego on Friday, October 12, 2012 at 3:30 p.m. They will work with residents of St. Vincent’s homeless transitional housing program in San Diego County.

This weekend marks the start of the MSCA LIVE 2012. MSCA conference attendees and volunteers will package meals at a Convoy of Hope food packing event at Park Hyatt Aviara Resort in Carlsbad on Monday, October 15, 2012, from 8:45 to 11:00 a.m. The goal of the event is to package 50,000 to 75,000 meals that will be distributed to children in need.

“We are excited about this opportunity to partner with MSCA,” says Jeff Nene, national spokesperson for Convoy of Hope. “MSCA and St. Vincent’s are both working to help those in need. We welcome the opportunity to work with partners who have the desire to do something special to help children in need around the world and our homeless population here in the U.S.”
