Greenwood Village, CO (PRWEB) October 12, 2012
Uncommon Solutions, Inc. is joining with Microsoft to host a Windows 8 Pre-Launch event. Uncommon Solutions, a provider of IT Consulting Services for the SMB and Mid-Market communities, has partnered with Microsoft because they believe that Windows 8 will be the biggest change in the IT field since Windows 95 was released.
The early morning event will be held on Thursday, Oct. 25th, 2012 at the Microsoft Store in Park Meadows Mall, Lone Tree, CO. The event begins at 7:30 a.m. with coffee and pastries with presentations starting at 8 a.m. on Windows 8, Office 2013, and leveraging Microsoft’s Lync Unified Communications.
This event is free to those attending, but all attendees are required to register in advance. Each person will be automatically entered to win one of Microsoft’s new Surface Tablets. This new entry into the tablet market has experienced a lot of hype. Many IT departments hope that the MS Surface will replace the iPad in the enterprise environment and thereby solve many of the security issues and costs of cross-platform OS integration.
The presentations will begin with Microsoft’s Dominic Aguilar speaking about the radical changes coming to the OS environment with Windows 8. Following Dominic will be Scott Scribner, Uncommon Solutions’ Chief Solutions Architect, to provide the attendees with an overview of some of the new capabilities of Office 2013 applications. Wrapping up the presentations will be Hal Anderson, Sr. Solutions Architect for Uncommon, with a demonstration of VisitorLink. VisitorLink is an offering developed by Uncommon Solutions that enables you to professional welcome visitors, securely identify them and connect them directly using Office 365 and Microsoft Lync video enable technology.
Microsoft Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Uncommon Solutions senior management will be working together before, during, and after the presentations to educate the attendees on the major changes coming to the technology field. There will be a follow up session where one-on-one follow up will be available including personal demos allowing a more in-depth understand for the attendees.
This event has been specifically designed to address the questions many decision makers have regarding the new OS for Windows 8 and operational challenges faced by IT for early adopters of technology.
