“The EDIS program provides a unique opportunity for individuals to travel abroad while working alongside outstanding professionals on interdisciplinary teams and interacting directly with American military families,” says Dr. Joseph Harrison, Chief, Recruitment and Retention, MEDCOM Headquarters, Civilian Human Resources Division.

In accordance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA Part C), the Army EDIS program implements best practices in early childhood intervention through a primary provider model, strength-based services and partnering with families to implement developmental activities and strategies within natural routines. The Army provides early intervention services to infants and toddlers who have developmental delays, or diagnosed physical or behavioral conditions that have a high probability of resulting in delays.

Comprised of civilian federal employees, the Civilian Corps provides healthcare to active and retired military personnel and their families. Employees are not subject to military requirements and receive exceptional benefits, including competitive salaries, health and life insurance, state of the art training, tuition reimbursement and more.
