The segment features a "How it's Made" clip, an interview with “Garfield the Cat” creator Jim Davis, and gorgeous imagery of PLAYTIME’s unique indoor play areas, outdoor playgrounds, and waterparks. Bradshaw features many of the places PLAYTIME is popping up around the world like shopping centers, McDonald’s PlayPlaces, childcare, health and recreation centers, and why play is so importance to early childhood development.

PLAYTIME’s ability to re-imagine the common play area and turn it into a fantastic, interactive experience has led to innovations in the commercial playground equipment market.

PLAYTIME, the global provider of children’s soft play areas, is featured in an upcoming Childhood Development segment for Today in America TV.

Hosted by legendary football player and sports celebrity Terry Bradshaw, Today in America TV combs the nation and the globe to bring viewers fascinating stories and firsthand insights from businesses that have achieved success in various industries.

During the PLAYTIME TV segment, Bradshaw notes how PLAYTIME’s unique soft play areas have changed people’s expectations of playgrounds around the world. Where once children found metal slides and pay-as-you-go toddler rides, they now find gorgeous, larger-than-life representations of their favorite characters and places.

“Bright and shiny, soft and squishy, realistic features, whimsical creatures, and some of our most beloved favorites,” says Bradshaw as he opens the show. “Developed by PLAYTIME, the soft-sculpted foam indoor play spaces are popping up in all sorts of places around the world.”

PLAYTIME’s ability to re-imagine the common play area and turn it into a fantastic, interactive experience has led to innovations in the commercial playground equipment market. It also has helped the company to bring some of the world’s biggest icons to life. For example, PLAYTIME has exclusive licensing agreements with top brands like Paws, Inc. (owner of Garfield and Friends) and Sesame Workshop.

Bradshaw spoke with PLAYTIME President and CEO Mike Evans about how the play areas are also a unique way to drive sales and build brand image.

“Families experience PLAYTIME at shopping centers, restaurants, airports, stadiums, healthcare centers, fitness centers, water parks, and museums – pretty much any place that kids play,” says Evans. “The unique global appeal has enabled us to expand throughout the Americas, Europe, Asia, Australia and the Middle East.”

PLAYTIME works with large corporations like McDonald's, LA Fitness, and major retail developers like Westfield, Simon, General Growth Properties, and CBL Properties.

“We draw families into the business and these are the spenders that retailers want to see,” says David O'Niones, PLAYTIME VP of Retail.

The highlight of the Today in America TV segment is a behind-the-scenes tour of PLAYTIME’s Colorado studios to see how the play elements are made.
