Parks and nature reserves offer an unparalleled experience for investigating scientific concepts.
Pasadena, CA (PRWEB) October 11, 2012
Pasadena Waldorf School teacher Blair Manzke lead her new class of first grade students on their first hike of the year. Pasadena Waldorf students enjoy numerous hikes at various park locations in the Pasadena and Altadena areas where they interact with nature and have the opportunity to take their lessons out of the classroom. The parks and nature reserves offer an unparalleled experience for investigating scientific concepts, laying the foundation for the fundamentals of mathematics and even for building the social framework that is so important in child development.
Regular hikes begin with the Kindergarten class and continue through the grades, with many classes enjoying the outdoor experience monthly.
Pasadena Waldorf School, founded in 1979, is one of over 1,000 Waldorf schools worldwide with over 90 years of experience offering an inspired education.
