Ten Temecula Winemakers announce their award winning wines for DePortola Trail’s Wine Up and Paella Fest on October 20, 2012 at Vail Lake Resort. From 10am to 2pm, fine white and red wine from each of the trails’ 10 wineries will be poured and paired with paella dishes from 10 local eateries from Temecula. This is the forth trail event for the wineries of De Portola Road in Temecula, CA but first the one-site event off the trail where our wine consumers can go and relax all day. The October 20th event is a "managed group tasting for wine lovers. Each chef is paired with one DWT winery that will offer wine lovers’ a pairing of white and red. Paella pairing and wine begins at 10am until 2pm. Guests are encouraged to spend the day, as their $55.00 ticket includes music from OLD SCHOOL BAND from 2pm to 6pm. A portion of proceeds will support the Susan G. Komen Foundation benefiting breast cancer awareness month.

AND THE WINES ARE: (in no particular order) Robert Renzoni Vineyards 2011 Cantata & 2010 Big Fred’s Red. Gershon Bachus Vintners 2010 Villa Vino Mélange 5-2-2-5 Blend, & 2008 Hesperus, an Estate Grenache. Keyways Winery 2010 Traditions & 2010 Valley Cuvee Du Nord. Fazeli Cellars, a new trail member will serve 2008 Shiraz-Cabernet Sauvignon & 2009 Norooz by Fazeli 70% Viognier, 30% Muscat Canelli. Danza Del Sol will be pouring 2011 Roussanne & 2010 Tempranillo. You cannot miss Oak Mountain 2011 Zinfandel Blanc de Noir & 2009 Tempranillo. Leoness Cellars will serve a few of the Valley’s favorites, Mélange de Blanc and Mélange de Reves. Cougar Winery, known for its Italian Varietals and will be serving its 2008 Aglianico & 2010 100% Vermentino. From Masia De Yabar, Gustavo will be on site making the paella and pouring two of his favorites. Frangipani is test pairing his wines today, and will release his selections in the next few days.

Additional drink tickets are available on site for guests wanting a bottle of their favorite wine, or a wine by the glass option after your tasting is completed. Guests can complete their experience by relaxing in the sun, or under the trees, listen to music, and if so inclined, visit some of the local eatery booths.
