He got his start in 2000 as a sales agent for the Mark Company, which specializes in sales and marketing of new construction. He sold the high end properties in the luxury condominium complexes of Madrone, Infinity, One Hawthorne, Beacon, Hayes, and Brannan. After a year he was promoted to Sales Manager and given the additional responsibility of condominiums in San Jose.

Sullivan said that at the time there was plenty of inventory, unlike today, where the market is very hot, but the inventory is much lower.
