Children’s outfitters Wellies and Worms are proud to be able to show off the new kids and junior Helly Hansen autumn/winter 2012 jackets and accessories collection.
One of the world leaders in outdoor performance clothing, Norwegian firm Helly Hansen produce a range of breathable, affordable and attractive water, wind and snow-proof clothing for children of all ages.
Their most recent collection promises to keep little ones the world over protected, comfortable, dry and looking good, according to their latest brochure. Highlights include insulated kids parkas with Spraytech technology which ensures the jacket is both windproof and breathable. The jacket’s warmth is provided by PrimaLoft insulation and the detachable padded hood has faux fur edging. It’s also reinforced at areas which tend to get the most wear, and comes with reflective elements for wearing in low light conditions.
Wellies and Worms owner Graham Cox said: “We’re very impressed by the variety and technology in the Helly Hansen autumn/winter collection this year. It’s eye-catching but more importantly, the jackets and other rain and snow gear are effective in doing exactly what they say they will, that is keep the rain off and the cold out.
“We’re delighted that the company chose to go with us as one of their Helly Hanson UK stockists.”
Other jackets for juniors include the Dubliner which is guaranteed to keep the wearer both dry and comfortable thanks to Helly Tech Protection technology as well as having fully taped seams. The collar comes with additional padding for supreme neck warmth and there’s wide side pockets with zips to keep all personal belongings safe.
Certain jackets are meant to glow in the dark such as the Juell jacket with its 360 degree reflective design. This quick dry little number is double layered with the inner layer boasting lightweight technology and warmth. The detachable hood means it can be worn in several different weather conditions – from autumn right through to the thick of winter. It comes with reinforced cuffs and bottom hem to make playtimes less stressful for parents.
Helly Hanson is famous for its base layer technology which it developed in the 1970s. The brand is a favourite of top athletes such as skiers, mountaineers, sailors and polar explorers. The company was formed in 1877 by Norwegian husband and wife team Juell Hansen and Maren Margarethe. They produced oilskin jackets, trousers and hats for sailors but quickly progressed to selling to the general population both at home and abroad.
Customers are advised to order early from the Helly Hanson range as stock tends to sell out fast. See http://www.welliesandworms.co.uk
