(PRWEB) October 12, 2012
The Center for Great Apes, a non-profit sanctuary that rescues and protects chimpanzees and orangutans, has been selected as one of three national charities to benefit from The Body Shop Foundation’s promotional program. As of August 20, 2012, for every sale of The Body Shop Foundation Dragon Fruit Lip Butter in the United States, a portion of the profits will go to the three charitable causes. The best part is, consumers choose which charity they wish to support with special voting tokens. The promotion is now through October 28, 2012.
For any in-store purchase made at The Body Shop, shoppers get one token to use to vote for any of the three charities. However, when shoppers add the zesty Dragon Fruit Lip Butter to their purchase, they receive an additional token to vote. The more votes the charity receives, the more funding they get from this national promotion. Consumers can also go to http://www.thebodyshop-usa.com/votewithyourlips for an additional vote (one vote per valid email address). This promotion ends October 28, 2012.
The Center for Great Apes, founded in 1993, is a private, non-profit sanctuary providing care and a habitat for orangutans and chimpanzees. Home to forty-four apes, the Center for Great Apes strives to protect and nurture disabled and neglected primates while educating the public on the issues facing these animals, both in captivity and in the wild. Membership levels begin at $50. To learn more about the Center for Great Apes, one of the participating charities, visit http://www.CenterforGreatApes.org.
