Winner to receive a $5,000 Salary for a part-time position over 30 days to vent.

You’ve paid your dues. Now get paid to vent. Werkjerks.com is launching the “We’re Looking for a CVO” contest and offering one applicant the chance to win $5,000. Werkjerks.com is launching the campaign to create awareness for its social community as a place users can share humorous and personal stories about the light and dark sides of what it means to work in a shared office environment today.

Candidates can enter the job search contest and ‘apply’ by visiting http://www.werkjerks.com, completing the online job application and uploading a 30-second video in answering the question, “Why do you want to be Chief Venting Officer?” The Werkjerks.com CVO Contest is open to all residents of the U.S. who are 21 years or older and users can apply through January 15, 2013. The winning candidate will be chosen from a shortlist of 20 and must be familiar with social media, have the desire to blog, post and share stories, and have strong communication skills.

As CVO, it is the winner’s responsibility to promote Werkjerks.com through posts on Werkjerks.com and social media (under Werkjerks Facebook & Twitter sites) developing awareness and encouraging people to register and post. This is a part-time job over a 30-day period that is meant to inspire people to share humorous stories, videos, pictures and other experiences that poke fun at some of the craziness of today’s work environments.

“Our goal is to let people know there is a place where anyone can anonymously post stories, photos and even videos of job experiences that make light of those funny office moments,” says Mary Kay Lucas, Founder and CEO of Werkjerks.com. “We want people to laugh, until they cry”, Mrs. Lucas continues, “Werkjerks is about bringing together a community to share the pain, frustration and most of all, humor, in our day-to-day workplace lives.

Recruitment ads promoting the CVO position are being posted via online job boards like Craigslist, CareerBuilder, Jobvite and Tweet My Jobs. The contest is also being promoted through video, Facebook and twitter, and online banners.

Werkjerks is also enlisting the help of non-applicants by giving them a voice in choosing the Werkjerks.com CVO. Starting January 20, 2013 any registered user can log on to Werkjerks.com, review the submitted videos and cast a vote for the best CVO. Voters will choose 15 of the Top 20 Finalists for the CVO position. One lucky voter will win a $500 cash prize.

Werkjerks has tapped Chicago digital agency Clique Studios (http://www.cliquestudios.com) as the firm to handle the strategic approach, design and administration the CVO Contest.

Applicants can find additional contest information and details (including Official Rules) at http://www.werkjerks.com.
