"We’re certain there’s a Prince over in England who will be glad to have an altogether different type of Harry—or hairy as the case may be—in the Las Vegas spotlight for a change.”

Just For Men and Panasonic Step Up to Support the Third Annual Coronation Of the Country's Most Folically-Endowed.
It's quirky, yet highly competitive. Equal parts humorous and serious. It’s the third annual Beard Team USA National Beard & Moustache Championships, and it is turning Las Vegas into the hairiest city in America on Sunday, November 11 at Clark County Amphitheater. The 2012 competition will surely be a sight for spectators, featuring some of the nation’s most famous moustache designs and perfectly 'manscaped' beards.
“We’re certain there’s a Prince over in England who will be glad to have an altogether different type of Harry—or hairy as the case may be—in the Las Vegas spotlight for a change,” said Phil Olsen, founder and captain of Beard Team USA. “The National Championships have grown faster than most of our competitors’ beards, and we anticipate another strong showing of the top beards and moustaches from across the country and around the world.”
Now in its third year, the National Beard & Moustache Championships have already attracted major sponsorships from men’s hair and grooming product companies such as Just For Men and Panasonic, the presenting sponsor. For the ladies, the Whiskerinas Fake Beard & Moustache Competition will take place the night before the main event.
For the first time, the National Beard & Moustache Championships will employ an 18-category system similar to that used at the World Beard & Moustache Championships, which range from the delicate Dali moustache to the anything goes full beard freestyle. More than 400 bearded contestants are expected compete in the championships. Registration is $40 per category and spectator general admission is $10.
