TransNexus, a new BroadSoft Network Partner, announces BroadSoft and Acme Packet compatible SDReporter with CDR analysis and fraud detection capabilities.

TransNexus, top developers of VoIP network management software, today announced their partnership with BroadSoft, Inc. (NASDAQ: BSFT), the leading provider of software and services that enable mobile, fixed-line, and cable service providers to offer Unified Communications over their Internet Protocol network. In conjunction with this announcement, TransNexus is releasing a new, version of their best-selling reporting and fraud detection software, SDReporter, which is compatible with BroadSoft and Acme Packet.

SDReporter 4.0 is a complete Call Detail Record (CDR) reporting and analysis solution. Simple to install and easy to use, SDReporter provides sixty-five web based reports on quality of service, call signaling, and fraud detection. SDReporter’s innovative fraud detection system checks for suspicious patterns in call traffic and sends SNMP and email alarms when fraud thresholds are triggered. In addition, the SDReporter 4.0 prevents the increasingly common Call Transfer Fraud scheme. This scheme is perpetrated by hacking into a SIP device and then using that device to place outbound calls, typically to very expensive international destinations. When the called party answers, the hacked device immediately performs a blind transfer to the hacker’s SIP device. Service providers are especially vulnerable to this scheme because the fraudulent call is transferred to a SIP trunk outside of the calling customer’s trunk group. Most soft switches do not have a way to monitor or control these fraudulent call transfers.

“We are excited to partner with TransNexus in order to address a very real problem for our service provider customers,” said Leslie Ferry, vice president marketing, BroadSoft. “We look forward to TransNexus demonstrating these capabilities at our annual users’ conference, BroadSoft Connections.”

TransNexus will demonstrate SDReporter 4.0 at BroadSoft Connections 2012: Unleash the Possibilities at the Westin Kierland Resort and Spa in Scottsdale, Arizona, October 21-24. Now in its 10th year, BroadSoft Connections is a premier event in the communications industry. This year’s event will focus on the dynamic changes taking place in the industry, from the movement to cloud communication services, the growth of mobile communication devices, to the state of the PBX market.
