The 5th Annual 3D Entertainment Summit was held at the Hollywood/Highland Center September 19th – 20th. Attendees were not only treated to previews of the newest 3D movies to hit the theaters in 2013, but were able to experience the future of stereoscopic presentations. Jim Chabin, President of the International 3D Society and 3D@Home hosted a panel discussion on “Your World in 3D,” where attendees were treated to an engaging 3D presentation created with Presente3D. Along with the presentation, they also had a discussion about the current status of 3D from a panel of industry professionals.
The 3D presentation titled “Your World in 3D” was delivered and created using Presente3D, a new 3D plug-in for Microsoft PowerPoint. It allows users to easily transform any existing 2D PowerPoint slide into 3D within minutes. The presentation was delivered to a room of over 500 people and helped immerse the audience into the discussion with panel members from Pixar Animation Studios, ESPN, Electronics and 3net.
“When the International 3D Society and 3D@Home approached us about taking their existing PowerPoint presentation into 3D using our tool, we knew that this would be a great opportunity to introduce our product to the 3D entertainment world.” Dennis Cafiero, CEO, Presente3D
Earlier this year, Presente3D launched their beta program to over 5,000 beta users. It was announced earlier this month that users who want to start creating their presentations in 3D can download the release version from their website.
“We are thrilled at the impact that Presente3D had on our presentation. We have always been an advocate of how 3D is changing the world and now being able to easily take our PowerPoint presentations into 3D allows us to create more engaging presentations for our audience.” Jim Chabin, President, International 3D Society and 3D@Home
By allowing users to grab the attention of an audience, Presente3D will change the way presentations are given in the future. For more information about how you can start creating your presentations in 3D visit their website.
