We suggest looking at your finances and comparing different energy providers to deal with the price rise.
(PRWEB UK) 17 October 2012
British Gas announced that both types of fuel would rise by 6% this year, adding £80 a year to the average dual fuel bill.
The expected but unwelcome increase will come into effect on November 16, and will lead to a £1.50 price rise for each week.
The energy provider said they could not ignore rising costs that were ‘largely outside of their control’ and made up most of the bill. They also warned that the rising cost of Government energy policies were likely to add even more to household bills next year.
Over 6 million households in Britain are planning to cut back on heating this winter and are worried about their rising bills.
A spokesperson from Dosh Express said:
“Many people were expecting these gas and electricity price rises but increasing energy prices can have an unexpected effect on household bills and it can be hard to manage it all. As winter draws in, many households may find it hard to cope. We suggest looking at your finances and comparing different energy providers to deal with the price rise.”
